Getting here, and getting in

The practice is in Miami, on the fourth floor, with garage parking on the side street and step-level access from both the lobby and the garage lift. There is no front desk — you will get a text about fifteen minutes before your appointment with a link that opens the door. If anything about that does not work, the intercom by the door reaches a person.

Dr. Peter K. Cudjoe greeting an arriving patient at the door of a consultation room

The first thirty seconds

The door opens from your phone. A person meets you inside.

About fifteen minutes before your appointment you get a text with a link that opens the door. There is no desk to check in at — the nurse practitioner or the surgeon meets you, and the intercom by the door reaches a person if anything about the link does not work.

What happens when you arrive

Written out in full, because a practice without a receptionist has to answer these before you get here rather than when you arrive.

Getting here

The practice is at 100 NW 170th St, Suite 306, in the medical office building on the Jackson North Medical Center campus. We are confirming parking, the entrance and step-free access at the building and will publish them here once they have been checked in person rather than from a map. If you need to know any of it before your appointment, call and ask — we would rather tell you on the phone than have you find out at the door.

Checking in

There is no front desk. You will get a text about fifteen minutes before your appointment with an "I'm here" link — tap it when you arrive and the door will let you in with a six-digit code. If anything about that does not work, press the intercom by the door and someone will open it. That is not a fallback we are shy about; it is how it is designed to work.

If you are bringing someone

For a sedation appointment you must. An adult needs to drive you home and stay with you for the first few hours, and they should plan to wait rather than leave and come back, because discharge timing moves.

If you are under 18

A parent or legal guardian has to attend and sign, and must stay in the building for the whole appointment. We cannot treat a minor who arrives alone, and no door code is issued for a minor.

Accessibility

Tell us what you need when you book and we will confirm the specifics for your visit before the day rather than describe them here from memory. If step-free access, lift access or an accessible restroom matter for your appointment, say so on the call and we will check and call you back.
