How Dr. Cudjoe works
The consultation is where the decision gets made, and it is a conversation rather than a presentation. You should leave knowing what is being recommended, what the alternatives are including doing nothing, what the risks are, and what it is going to cost against your own insurance.
Not every impacted tooth needs to come out. Where monitoring is a reasonable option it will be offered as one, and the reasoning will be explained rather than asserted. A second opinion is a normal thing to want before surgery and asking for one will not change how you are treated here.
Risks are stated plainly on every procedure page on this site, before you are in the chair. Nerve proximity, dry socket, graft resorption and sinus involvement are all real and all uncommon, and you should hear about them from the surgeon rather than from a search after the fact.
Dr. Cudjoe performs every wisdom tooth procedure at this practice. The surgeon who assesses you at the consultation is the surgeon who operates, and no part of the procedure is delegated. If you are being sedated, the same person who planned the surgery is the one managing the anaesthetic.
Scope of practice
What this practice provides, and nothing beyond it. A page for a service the practice does not offer would be a misrepresentation under §466.019(3)(a).
Orthodontics, cosmetic dentistry, paediatric dentistry and general restorative work are not provided here. If you need one of those, your general dentist is the right place to start and we are happy to say so.
